Keyvan Aviation provides the world’s first airline antibacterial and antiviral crew uniforms. The equipment can be used by all flight and ground crews, which will provide a higher level of protection against bacteria and viruses.
The virus easily adheres to the surface of the fabric and lasts for days or even months. For this reason, Keyvan Aviation uses Silver Ion technology in its uniform fabric, which actively prevents the possibility of virus reproduction.
The new uniform is made of 97% cotton, tested according to international standards, and made of fabrics suitable for sensitive skin. In addition, the moisture transmission function in the fabric can provide comfort throughout the day. Even after washing 100 times at 60°C, the fabric still retains its antibacterial properties.
I contacted Keyvan Aviation and asked their Chairman and CEO Mehmet Keyvan the following questions.
The original goal of Keyvan Aviation was to provide luxury and quality services to the aviation industry. From the beginning, the company had two main divisions: Aviation Fashion and Business Jets.
We also apply our experience in luxury lifestyle to business jet decoration and sales and delivery in our aviation fashion department. Since no fashion company provides uniforms for the crew, and most airlines are looking for well-known fashion freelance designers to order their designs, we decided to run our own aviation fashion department; including our in-house design team and a strong supply The system creates a professional, stylish and elegant appearance for the crew, and takes care of their comfort, safety and efficiency.
Not at all. We tried to use the whole body cover design as part of our main uniform design. This means that the body will be covered, but when you look at the crew, you will find that they are well prepared, elegantly dressed and ready to perform their duties. We also provide our customers with a COVID-19-free label so they can put it on their uniforms to inform their passengers that they have upgraded their uniforms to a higher standard.
Q: Are there currently interested airlines? Has any airline tested the product, and if so, what is the feedback?
Due to the situation of Covid 19, all airlines around the world are facing financial difficulties; since this product has nothing to do with luxury goods, it is more to protect people’s safety, so we are discussing with our customers how to support them in these difficult times . This product has only recently been launched, and we have received a lot of interest from airlines and airports, and we are currently negotiating with them to meet their requirements.
Wearing antibacterial and antiviral uniforms will not carry viruses and bacteria. This means that when you are in a public transportation airport area or in an airplane, the risk of carrying viruses and bacteria will be reduced by 99.99%. Our design will cover the whole body, but you still need to wear gloves and a face mask to improve safety.
For our products, we follow a number of ISO standards. These standards are ISO 18184 (Determination of Antiviral Activity of Textiles) and ISO 20743 (Test Method for Determining Antimicrobial Activity of Textiles) and ASTM E2149 (Determination of Antimicrobial Activity) under dynamic contact conditions The activity of immobilized antibacterial agent), completed in an internationally recognized laboratory.
Keyvan Aviation has designed an innovative product so that the crew can stay safe and comfortable during this challenging time and maintain a stylish and elegant appearance during flight.
